Summary, etc. Despite a growing interest in adult ASD, relatively few cohort studies have thus far investigated this topic. As in child cohorts, the question of the objective of the cohort is essential and impacts its methodology. Here we review the results of previous cohort studies, detail their limitations, present some of the existing international adult cohorts, and suggest perspectives for future adult cohorts in France.
