520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Foster children are a population at risk of developing behavioral disorders. Attachment bonds with foster mothers make it possible to secure and harmonize development. However, these bonds can turn into clinging and put the foster mother in a position of omnipotence. Foster services must play the role of a third party, between the foster mother and the child, so that the child does not remain in the position of object. This role is reflected in the mediated visitation system, which enables a bond with the birth parents, outside of the foster family, and creates a therapeutic space for the child in his or her relationship to the birth family.
