Summary, etc. This text proposes a reinterpretation of the notion of media audiences in the context of digital information. The aim is to understand how pure-play online media “go public,” based not on their editorial strategies but on the practices of their users. The line of inquiry will be based on a survey of students’ mobile information practices. Analyzing the work of users in “going public” based on their informational practices gives new substance to informational mediations that might be considered illegitimate because they are the responsibility of young adults and are practiced on social platforms and networks.
