| Summary, etc. | Establishing and maintaining a caregiving bond is a Sisyphean task. It presupposes the construction of group and institutional allegiances, and at the same time the establishment of structuring differences; the assurance for each person of knowing that they are part of a common history, and of being recognized in a singular place. It is the quality of such a collective construction that conditions the caregiving capacity and authorizes greater tolerance of the unbinding, fragmentation, and anxieties inherent in clinical encounters. |
