| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, nous analysons les procédés mobilisés par les membres du groupe pour construire leur identité d’homoparents. Les données sont des réunions de groupes de parole dédiées à la discussion des problèmes que les parents et futur parents gay et lesbiens rencontrent dans leur parcours parental, et ceux que les (futurs) enfants devront eux-mêmes affronter. Deux procédés de construction catégorielle sont étudiés. Dans le premier, les catégories d’identité homoparentale constituent l’objet de la conversation et le choix des formes de dénomination des deux parents font l’objet de reformulations et de négociations incessantes. Dans le second cas, l’identité de groupe émerge de façon indirecte au cours d’épisodes humoristiques dans lesquels les participants évoquent des scénarii de vie de famille et se moquent de ceux qui normalisent et simplifient trop l’expérience dont ils sont en train de discuter. |

| Summary, etc. | Identity in interaction: categorization practices and accountability among gay and lesbian parents In this paper, we analyze the processes whereby participants construct their identity of homo parents. The data are focus group meetings in which participants share and discuss their experience. The discussion often focuses on the problems children will have to face in their relationship with parents and with other children living in a more traditional family. Two processes of constructing homoparental categories have attracted our attention. In the first, identity categories of gay and lesbian parents are the topic of the conversations, and the choice of kinship terms with the semantic traits they bring is constantly negotiated and reformulated in the interaction. In the second, the focus-group collective identity emerges in humourous episodes in which participants propose paradoxical made-up scenes that evidently oversimplify the parental experience they are discussing about. |
