Summary, etc. | Le pronom indéfini on est caractérisé par une forte ambiguïté qui rend sa classification linguistique aussi difficile que son enseignement en FLE. En raison de sa fonction argumentative attestée, l’utilisation de on constitue un enjeu pour les apprenants aux niveaux intermédiaires et avancés, qui sont amenés à rédiger des textes argumentatifs. Dans une perspective d’influences translinguistiques, l’appropriation de cette forme pourrait constituer une difficulté particulière pour les turcophones, étant donné que leur L1 ne possède pas de forme équivalente à on. L’analyse de matériel pédagogique de FLE suggère que l’enseignement de on peut être variable et ambigu. L’analyse d’un corpus écrit d’apprenants, dans une approche contrastive, révèle que les apprenants turcophones sur-utilisent ce pronom et en font un usage inadapté, et que la fonction de on évolue au fur et à mesure de l’apprentissage. |

Summary, etc. | Due to its inherent ambiguity, the French indefinite pronoun on is as difficult to classify in linguistics as it is difficult to teach in French as a foreign language. Given its proven argumentative function, the use of on is a challenge for learners at intermediate and advanced levels, who are required to compose argumentative texts. From a of cross-linguistic influence perspective, the acquisition of this linguistic form could constitute a particular difficulty for L1 Turkish learners, given that their L1 does not have a form equivalent to on. The analysis of L2 French teaching material suggests that the teaching of on can be inconsistent and ambiguous. The analysis of a written learner corpus, in a contrastive approach, reveals that L1 Turkish learners overuse and misuse this pronoun, and that the function of on in learners’ writing evolves through the learning process. |
