| Summary, etc. | RésuméÀ la suite d’une série d’entretiens auprès d’élèves pratiquant ou ayant pratiqué le Lycée Édouard Herriot de Voiron (Isère-France), les auteurs analysent le processus de territorialisation et de socialisation des adolescents au sein de l’espace scolaire et s’interrogent sur la pertinence de réfléchir l’établissement en tant qu’espace clos et communauté spécifique d’éducation. Il ressort de l’interprétation des discours produits par les élèves que leurs constructions tendent à effacer la matérialité des délimitations fonctionnelles de l’établissement scolaire pour configurer un territoire scolaire particulier à chacun d’entre eux. Territoire, qui, s’il conserve la fonctionnalité des limites, les outrepasse pour les re-construire aux lisières plus ou moins distantes de l’établissement mais cette fois dotées de valeurs positives d’appropriation et d’appartenance. |

| Summary, etc. | The authors of this article suggest an analysis based on a series of interviews with present or former students of the high school “Edouard Herriot ” in Voiron (Isère- France), in order to understand the processes of territorialization and socialization of the teenagers within the school area.The interpretation of the pupils’ discourses shows that they tend to erase the materiality of the school functional delimitations and to build a school space of their own. Even when delimitations are maintained, they are exceeded and re-built as more or less distant frontiers and endowed with positive values of appropriation and belonging.These analyses lead to some pedagogical suggestions and give food for further thought about the educational framework, concerning particularly the question of violence in school; why not consider the possibility of a complete integration of the teenagers as full members of the school territory? |
