La France a joué un rôle important dans ces débats. Le besoin de coordination des politiques d’aménagement a conduit à l’adoption d’un Agenda territorial de l’Union européenne dont on relate la genèse et examine le contenu ainsi que les enjeux. |

| Summary, etc. | The Territorial Dimension of European IntegrationDifferent views of planning have made it difficult to address the territorial dimension of European integration properly. These views have been discussed in the public arena due to divergent planning national traditions. France has played a significant role in that debate.
