| Summary, etc. | Prenant pour appui l’étude du frontispice du Tartuffe de Molière paru en 1669 avec sa curieuse adaptation du texte, et pourtant maintes fois reproduit et contrefait durant des dizaines d’années au point que le texte de la pièce eut de mal à se débarrasser de cette représentation devenue emblématique, nous passerons en revue quelques autres exemples de remplois, de copies, et de contrefaçons d’images imprimés dans des ouvrages du xviie siècle, tout en s’attachant à décrire les diverses techniques employées. |

| Summary, etc. | Taking as support the study of the frontispiece of Molière’s Tartuffe published in 1669 with his curious adaptation of the text, and yet repeatedly reproduced and forged for decades to the point that the text of the play had difficulty in getting rid of this representation that had become emblematic, we will review some other examples of ramparts, of copies, and of counterfeit images printed in works of the seventeenth century, while endeavouring to describe the various techniques employed. |
