Le jeu des multiples interactions entre ces éléments peut être le révélateur d’enjeux politiques et éthiques cruciaux, qui renvoient aux grands problèmes auxquels les sociétés humaines sont confrontées. Dans une perspective de formation citoyenne, il importe que les élèves apprennent à déchiffrer ces enjeux, ce qui suppose qu’ils développent une capacité à appréhender et à penser la complexité. La géographie est une des disciplines scolaires susceptibles de contribuer à ces apprentissages. |
