| Summary, etc. | « Les premiers mots de l’emploi capitaliste de la machine furent donc pour le travail des femmes et des enfants ! » Loin des envolées optimistes du Manifeste, la machine du Capital précipite les enfants dans le travail, en requérant une masse de manœuvres ou en conduisant les parents à placer les enfants dans des secteurs traditionnels où les métiers sont devenus des opérations parcellisées et sans avenir. En ce sens, la machine détruit la famille ouvrière et réduit à néant la capacité autoémancipatrice d’une classe ouvrière enfermée dans des tâches abrutissantes dès le plus jeune âge. Mais elle éveille le besoin d’une main-d’œuvre en mesure d’accompagner les développements technologiques par une culture technique élargie, la « révolution industrielle » comme mise en cause permanente du processus de production annonçant le « plein développement » de l’humanité envisagé dans l’ Idéologie allemande. |
