| Summary, etc. | Depuis près de trente années, les conférences des parties (COP) sont instituées comme cadre politique dominant la conception de la lutte contre les changements climatiques. C’est le lieu où les États membres de l’ONU, en fonction des rapports de pouvoir, dessinent les politiques climatiques internationales, qu’il s’agisse de la réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre ou de l’adaptation aux conséquences des changements climatiques induits. Contestant le monopole et le caractère surplombant des COP considérées comme étant inefficaces, des organisations non gouvernementales et des mouvements citoyens ont émergé depuis les années 2000, constituant des arènes subsidiaires de mobilisation et d’action pour le climat. Parallèlement ou en marge des COP, ces arènes subsidiaires portent et véhiculent une vision de la lutte contre les changements climatiques fondée essentiellement sur la justice climatique. |

| Summary, etc. | For nearly thirty years, the Conferences of the Parties (COP) have been the dominant political framework for devising ways of combating climate change. It is the place where States, members of de UN, depending on their power relations, draw up international climate policies, whether in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions or adapting to the consequences of climate change. Challenging the monopoly and overarching nature of the COP, which are seen as ineffective, non-governmental organisations and citizens' movements have emerged since the years 2000 as subsidiary arenas for mobilisation and action on climate issues. In parallel with, or on the fringes of the COP, these subsidiary arenas carry and convey a vision of the fight against climate change based essentially on climate justice. |
