| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, c’est l’accroissement subtil de visibilité des écarts voire des clivages sociaux, donc une régression des fluidités sociales apparentes, qui nous occupe. Mon propos se fonde sur une observation quotidienne des rues et commerces du quartier des Épinettes à Paris (notamment une laverie), au rythme des différentes « vagues » du Covid-19 et des mesures mises en place par les gouvernements d’Édouard Philippe puis de Jean Castex pour y faire face. La période traitée s’étend ainsi du premier confinement en mars 2020 à l’automne 2021, date qui coïncidait à un sentiment de progressif « retour à la normale », avant l’arrivée tonitruante du variant Omicron. La première partie présente le lieu d'enquête. Des données qui le dépassent composent la deuxième partie. Il s'agit d'abord d'insister sur ce qui tend à relier. Les troisième et quatrième sections, centrées exclusivement sur les Épinettes, évoqueront progressivement ce qui délie. La laverie occupera la fin de l’article : elle fait « signal faible » sur le ballet des sociabilités locales et permet de grossir des phénomènes observés à plus large échelle. |

| Summary, etc. | In this paper, it is the subtle increase in the visibility of social gaps, and thus a regression of apparent social fluidity, that concerns us. My argument is based on a daily observation of the streets and shops of the Épinettes district in Paris (notably a laundromat), at the rhythm of the different “waves” of Covid-19 and the measures put in place by the governments of Édouard Philippe and then Jean Castex to deal with it. The period covered extends from the first lockdown in March 2020 to the fall of 2021, a date that coincided with a sense of gradual “return to normalcy” before the arrival of the variant Omicron. The first section presents the field place. Data that go beyond it compose the second part. First, it is a question of insisting on what tends to link. The third and fourth sections, centered exclusively on the Épinettes, will gradually evoke what unties. The laundromat will occupy the end of the article: it makes a “weak signal” on the ballet of local sociabilities and allows to magnify phenomena observed on a larger scale. |
