| Summary, etc. | Si la crise écologique est habituellement présentée comme une confrontation entre l’homme et la nature, il reste un troisième terme qu’il est impératif de garder à l’esprit : la technique, dont André Leroi-Gourhan avait montré l’importance décisive dans l’histoire de l’espèce. La technique est constituée de deux fronts, qu’il faut considérer conjointement : la médiation avec la nature (le milieu extérieur), et la médiation avec l’homme lui-même (le corps zoologique), dont elle modifie l’insertion sensible. Deux questions se posent, relativement à chacun de ces fronts : vis-à-vis de la nature, l’espèce peut-elle réussir sur un mode global et techno-scientifique ce qu’elle avait réussi historiquement sur un mode local et dialectique ? Et vis-à-vis de l’homme, l’éviction des cultures traditionnelles qu’entraîne le développement technique peut-elle maintenir une capacité d’orientation à long terme de l’espèce ? |

| Summary, etc. | While the ecological crisis is usually presented as a confrontation between mankind and nature, there remains a third term that is imperative to keep in mind: technology, whose decisive importance André Leroi-Gourhan had shown for the species history. Technology appears as made up of two fronts, which must be considered jointly: mediation with nature (the external environment), and mediation with humans themselves (the zoological body), whose sensitive insertion is modified.
