| Summary, etc. | RésuméSi le livre, comme support et objet symbolique, domine notre conception de la littérature depuis le développement de l’imprimerie, certaines pratiques contemporaines du littéraire qui visent à l’exposer sur la scène, dans les musées, voire dans la rue, mettent en question cette hégémonie. Nous faisons l’hypothèse que le développement de ces pratiques (performances, interventions dans l’espace public) est lié d’une part à la fragilisation du statut de l’artiste, d’autre part à la réduction du champ éditorial à la seule littérature narrative. Ce numéro se propose d’étudier la manière dont « la littérature exposée » sort du cadre normatif que propose l’édition pour interroger ses propres limites, mettre en crise ses conditions d’existence et redéfinir son champ d’action. |

| Summary, etc. | If the book as medium and as symbolic object has dominated our conception of literature since the development of printing, a number of contemporary literary practices which aim at exhibiting it on the stage, in museums, or even in the street, are putting its hegemony in question. Our hypothesis is that the development of these practices (performance, intervention in the public space) is linked on the one hand to the increasing fragility of the artist’s status, on the other to the reduction of the editorial field to narrative. This issue of Littérature addresses the way “Contemporary Writing Outside the Book” exits the normative field of publishing to question its own limits, put its conditions of existence in crisis, and redefine its field of action. |
