| Summary, etc. | Qu'est-ce que l'approche génétique peut apporter à l'histoire de l'art, et réciproquement ? En s'engageant dans l'analyse des œuvres plastiques, la critique génétique a suivi une démarche d'ouverture interdisciplinaire initiée depuis sa fondation. Sa méthodologie originairement textuelle l'a conduite à privilégier l'étude des interférences entre image et texte, dans des domaines encore peu étudiés par l'histoire de l'art comme l'intitulation des œuvres ou les terminologies relatives aux documents de travail des artistes. La génétique peut renouveler l'histoire de l'art en lui offrant des outils pour mieux valoriser les archives de la création et reconstituer scientifiquement les processus qui ont donné naissance à l'œuvre d'art, mais au prix d'une conversion de la relation critique. |

| Summary, etc. | What can the genetic approach bring to the history of art, and vice versa? Genetic criticism, by getting involved in the analysis of visual works, has followed an interdisciplinary and open approach initiated since its foundation. Its originally textual methodology led it to favour the study of conjunctions between image and text, in fields that are still not very well studied by the history of art, such as the titling of works or the terminologies concerning the artists' drafts. Genetics can renew the history of art by providing it with tools to enhance in a better way the archives of creation and recreate scientifically the processes that gave birth to the work of art, but at the cost of a conversion of the critical relation. |
