| Summary, etc. | Nous définissons une technologie Low-Tech comme étant la brique élémentaire d’un système technique pérenne. Une analyse du système technique dans sa globalité est ainsi nécessaire pour définir la frontière High-Tech / Low-Tech. Nous proposons une série de réflexions ou pistes de recherche dans les domaines de la mobilité, de la production d’énergie, de la santé, de la potabilisation de l’eau, de la conservation des aliments et de la pérennité des systèmes techniques. Nous justifions notre projet de métallurgie solaire à partir d’une analyse énergétique de la révolution industrielle anglaise. Enfin, ses aspects techniques sont développés : il consiste à activer la réduction de minerais riches en oxyde de fer par des réducteurs décarbonés ou bio-sourcés grâce à l’énergie solaire concentrée. |

| Summary, etc. | We define a Low-Tech technology as a building block of a sustainable technical system. An analysis of the technical system as a whole is therefore necessary to define the border between High-Tech and Low-Tech. We provide thoughts or research guidelines in the fields of mobility, energy production, health, drinking water, food conservation and sustainability of technical systems. Our solar metallurgy project emerges from an energy analysis of the English industrial revolution. Finally, its technical aspects are developed: it consists in activating the reduction of iron-oxide rich ores by carbon-free or bio-sourced reducers thanks to concentrated solar energy. |
