| Summary, etc. | Nous nous intéressons aux relations entretenues avec les plantes par des maraîchers en agriculture biologique, et en particulier à la part qu’ils donnent au « sauvage » dans leurs systèmes de production. Le « sauvage » correspond ici aux manières dont les plantes expriment leurs manières d’être, leurs altérités, dans toute leurs singularités, leurs complexités et leurs incertitudes. Il peut se glisser dans des interstices ouverts par l’écologisation des pratiques et s’exprimer sous forme de potentialités inopinées. Le degré d’ouverture des maraîchers à l’altérité « sauvage » des végétaux détermine l’ampleur des variations des systèmes productifs et, par là-même, le développement d’un maraîchage que nous qualifions de « diplomatique ». |

| Summary, etc. | We are interested in the relationships maintained by organic market gardeners with plants, and in particular the part they give to the “wildness” in the conduct of their production systems. The “wildness” here corresponds to the ways in which plants express their ways of being, their otherness, in all their singularities, their complexities and their uncertainties. “Wildness” can slip into interstices opened by the greening of practices and express itself in the form of unexpected potentialities. The degree of market gardeners openness to the “wild” otherness of plants shapes the extent of variations in production systems and, by that, the development of a market gardening that we call “diplomatic”. |
