| Summary, etc. | Rousseau Législateur montre une grande attention aux réalités sociales et politiques qu’il veut réformer. Partant des mœurs polonaises, il oriente l’orgueil aristocratique vers l’amour de la patrie par les fêtes publiques et les distinctions qui font de l’estime publique un principe. Rousseau s’appuie également sur la vivacité du législatif polonais pour réformer les lois d’après les principes du Contrat social, en instituant une filiation élective continue à partir des Diètines. La subordination des représentants est affirmée, tant par le renforcement du mandat impératif que par le pouvoir des assemblées périodiques. Le Législateur guide ainsi son action sur le fondement originel du politique : la souveraineté absolue de l’institution primitive, qui fonde la possibilité des réformes rousseauistes. |

| Summary, etc. | As a Lawmaker Rousseau pays great attention to social and political realities he wants to reform. Speaking about Polish habits he axes aristocratic pride towards feeling for homeland by public celebrations and distinctions having public respect as principle. Rousseau too trusts Polish legislative vivacity for reforming Laws according to the « Contrat social » principles by making a continuous elective filiation from Diétines. Subordination of the representatives is asserted by reinforcing the elective mandate as well as the power of periodic assemblies. So the Lawmaker guides his action on the absolute sovereignty of primitive institution allowing Rousseau’s reforms. |
