| Summary, etc. | Il n’y a pas de philosophie « de » La Pensée mais seulement « dans » La Pensée, car le style, les thèmes, les finalités, les auteurs étudiés changent selon des moments facilement repérables. À sa naissance, en 1939, La Pensée est une vitrine destinée à séduire la haute intelligentsia. Le second moment est occupé par l’« affaire Lyssenko » : la revue évite le conflit avec le PCF tout en conservant la confiance des intellectuels sceptiques ; puis le « rapport Khrouchtchev sur les crimes de Staline » déclenche une crise morale et une attraction des marxistes vers l’existentialisme. Un troisième moment est marqué par les articles d’Althusser qui transforment La Pensée en tribune philosophique incontournable. Dans le quatrième moment la philosophie est représentée par des « dossiers » et des articles sans cohérence, et le dogmatisme des premiers temps est écarté. Enfin, la période actuelle voit un retour en force de la philosophie : les colloques, les dossiers se multiplient et adoptent un style résolument universitaire tout en conservant une originalité quant aux approches. |

At its birth in 1939, La Pensée is a showcase designed to seduce the intelligentsia. The second moment is during the « Lyssenko affair » : the magazine avoids conflict with the PCF while maintaining the confidence of skeptical intellectuals ; then the « Khrouchtchev report on the crimes of Stalin » triggers a moral crisis and an attraction of Marxists towards existentialism. A third moment is marked by Althusser’s articles that transform La Pensée into an essential philosophical platform. In the fourth moment the philosophy is represented by « dossiers » and articles without coherence, and the dogmatism of the first ages is discarded. Finally, in the present period philosophy makes a strong comeback : the colloquia, the dossiers multiply and adopt a resolutely academic style while preserving an originality on approaches. |
