| Summary, etc. | This article deals with the relation of matter and memory in the works of Thomas Aquinas and especially in his commentary on Aristotle’s De memoria et reminiscentia. In this treatise, Aquinas grounds on the necessity of images, on the organic localisation of memory, on the influence on bodily constitution on the psychic faculties and on the very nature of recollection a psycho-physiological analysis of memory, revealing the interaction of body and soul. |
