520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | The foreigner is always conceived in relation to its opposite, in other words the native, suitable, autochthonous, close, famous one. There always exists a tense relationship between these two terms. It is the scene of a battle in which one wishes to eliminate the other, to repress it, to suppress it and thus to suppress the turmoil it does cause. This misused term is the term foreigner. In contrast, psychoanalysis does not seek to erase this turmoil, but instead encourages it. We partly examine this claim in this paper. |
