Les écrits sur la psychologie des foules de Freud et de quelques précurseurs sont relus dans cette perspective, complétés de nouvelles hypothèses pour rendre compte de ce qui est particulier dans ces discours, ainsi leur dimension persécutive. Enfin la référence à C.E Peirce permet d’approfondir le mécanisme de toute croyance et d’en éclairer la résistance. |

| Summary, etc. | This paper examines the reasons why a number of somewhat extravagant conspiracy theories have massively spread throughout the world. Freud’s writings about group psychology and other precursors are revisited with this question in mind, and they are completed with new assumptions accounting for what is particular in these theories, such as their persecutory dimension. Finally, the reference to C. E. Peirce leads to further investigate the mechanism underlying all beliefs and to highlight the associated resistance. |
