Les écrits modernes, en particulier ceux de Judith Butler s’attachent plus au premier, et à son cas emblématique David. Mais il s’avère que ce cas fut frauduleux, et les commentateurs modernes ne semblent guère plus honnêtes à propos de cette tragique affaire. |

| Summary, etc. | At a time when Gender Studies are gaining momentum in human sciences, and often offer an opportunity to attack psychoanalysis through its attachment to the importance of gender difference in psychic life, it is appropriate to revisit the roots of this idea in psychology, i.e. to John Money and Robert Stoller. Contemporary authors, like Judith Butler, seem more attached to the former and particularly to his most emblematic case David. Yet it turns out that this case was a fraud, and contemporary commentators do not seem much more honest about this rather tragic case. |
