| Summary, etc. | C’est sous l’angle de l’intense investissement de la chose écrite par Marie Bonaparte qu’est abordée ici sa correspondance avec Freud, sauvée de l’oubli par sa « manie de l’archive » et récemment publiée. Il s’y déploie une auto-analyse épistolaire relancée périodiquement par quelques séquences de séances en présence de Freud. Dans ce cadre particulier s’est déroulé un authentique processus analytique, mais dont les limites manifestes – signalées par le recours récurrent des deux protagonistes à la notion de sublimation comme moyen et comme fin de l’analyse – peuvent être imputées notamment à l’impossibilité de perlaborer suffisamment la résistance, faute de pouvoir s’y affronter suffisamment en présence. |

| Summary, etc. | Marie Bonaparte’s correspondence with Freud, rescued from oblivion by her ‘archive mania’ and recently published, is examined here from the point of view of her intense investment in the written word. It reveals an epistolary self-analysis, periodically enlivened by fragments of sessions in Freud’s presence. In this particular context, an authentic analytical process took place, but its obvious limits indicated by the frequent reference of the two protagonists to the notion of sublimation as a means and an end of analysis can be attributed in particular to the impossibility of sufficiently working out resistance, due to the impossibility of adequately grappling with it in the presence of Freud. |
