| Summary, etc. | Les rassemblements que sont les Wagenburgen de Berlin offrent depuis vingt-cinq ans à une population de jeunes Européens la possibilité d’un vivre ensemble alternatif choisi librement et par empathie. L’hybridation des allants-de-soi de leurs pays d’origine respectifs s’y développe alors suivant les paradigmes particuliers liés aux contraintes spécifiques de ces terrains en lutte constante contre les usages légaux et fonciers. Une culture, faite d’aspirations politiques et d’expériences communes, les rassemble ainsi autour de manifestations pour lesquelles ils partagent des savoirs et des compétences. De fait, cette expression singulière du phénomène Europe s’avère essentiellement une expérience du nomadisme de l’appartenance. La citoyenneté européenne s’y construit plus dans l’éphémère de la relation entretenue entre les individus et avec les lieux de vie que dans l’affiliation définitive, mais les liens subtils qui nouent leurs parcours en commun respectent ainsi l’intimité des sphères et le respect des points de vue. |

| Summary, etc. | Wagenburgen rallies have been organized during the last 25 years in Berlin. They offer the opportunity for young Europeans to experience freely and with empathy alternative ways of being together. Such encounters hybridize taken for granted assumptions shaped by the participants’ countries of origin, according to the specific constraints shaping continuous struggles with legal uses and real estate. This culture made of common political aspirations and experiences brings together participants who share knowledge and skills. These encounters represent a singular expression of the « European phenomenon » characterized by the experience of a nomadic belonging. European citizenship emerges through the ephemeral interactions between individuals and places, rather than through a definite affiliation. The subtle relationships, which tie their shared path, respect therefore the intimacy of their environment and their points of view as well. |
