| Summary, etc. | L'étude des discours sur les langues et le langage, les discours “épilinguistiques” – plus souvent présentée sous les termes de "représentations", ou "imaginaire linguistique" – nous apparaît indissociable de l’étude des pratiques langagières effectives. Nous proposons d’appréhender ce champ "épilinguistique" du point de vue de la mise en discours en intégrant les points de vue et méthodes de la sociologie du langage (discours, dialogisme, interaction, énonciation...). Nous voudrions montrer que la fluctuation interdiscursive constitutive de l'activité épilinguistique résulte du phénomène inconscient de la subjectivation : les discours sur le langage en sont de multiples métaphores. |

| Summary, etc. | On "epilinguistic" Discourse: subjectivity, the imaginary, and fantasizing about language. The "epilinguistic" study of talk about language and languages, more usually done under cover of studying "representations" or "linguistic imagination", is inseparable from the study of actual language practices. We propose to broach "epilinguistics" from the viewpoint of speech acts that include the outlooks and methods of the sociology of language (discourse, dialogism, interaction, enunciation...). We would like to show that interdiscursive fluctuation, which is part and parcel of epilinguistic activity, stems from the subconscious workings of subjectivation: talk on and about language is but one of its many metaphors. |
