Sous quelles modalités peut-on envisager la parole du rappeur pratiquant ? Avec quelles catégories de pensée ? Comment l’élément urbain participe-t-il du rapport de coproduction qui le relie au rap ? À partir d’une réflexion axée essentiellement sur la pratique du rap à Port-au-Prince, la capitale d’Haïti, le présent article tente de proposer des éléments de réponse à ces questions en situant le propos dans une filiation épistémologique et théorique avec l’approche biographique en sciences humaines et sociales. Les éléments d’analyse proposés s’appuient sur des textes du rap haïtien et sur une série d’entretiens réalisés avec des rappeurs évoluant en Haïti. |

| Summary, etc. | The biographical resonance of rap music : between common sense and community of meaningHow can we address the meaning of rap music for the musicians and fans, without having a limitative speech ? How can we consider rappers’ words ? With what reflexive categories ? In what ways does the urban factor participate to the co-production bond that ties it to rap music ? Based on elements concerning essentially rap practices in Port-au-Prince – Haiti’s capital – this article will attempt to answer theses questions by relying on the epistemological and theoretical field of biographical research in human and social sciences. The analysis we will present here relays on Haitian rap texts and on interviews with rappers practicing in Haiti. |
