Summary, etc. | Le rôle de l’école est de former des citoyens à partir d’une référence identitaire qui n’autorise pas l’intrusion de cultures jugées hors normes. Or, la France est une société pluriculturelle et la présence des jeunes Français issus de l’immigration ouest-africaine dans l’école pose question. Cet article vise à approcher la construction identitaire de ces jeunes dans un espace où les pluralités culturelles et identitaires sont perçues comme des menaces. La réussite scolaire d’une partie des jeunes issus de l’immigration indique, au contraire, la nécessité de concilier, voire de réconcilier, les différentes cultures qui construisent le futur citoyen d’une société pluriculturelle. |

Summary, etc. | The role of school is to produce citizens on the basis of a reference identity which do not allow the intrusion of cultures that are considered non-standard. However, France is a pluricultural society and the presence of french children from western African immigration in school questions. This paper aims to understand the building of those children identity in a space where cultural and identity pluralities are seen as threats. At the opposite, the academic success of some children from the immigration points out the need to reconcile these different cultures which built future citizen of a pluricultural society. |
