| Summary, etc. | Les travaux antérieurs qui se sont penchés sur la persévérance au doctorat ont montré l’importance de satisfaire les trois besoins fondamentaux de l’être humain (autonomie, compétence et affiliation). Cette contribution interroge les effets du confinement, et, plus précisément, des changements radicaux des modalités de travail associés, sur l’équilibre personnel et professionnel de onze doctorants belges. L’analyse fait état de réorganisations des priorités singulières résultant d’une imbrication entre des facteurs internes (ressources émotionnelles, parcours de vie) et externes (composition familiale, soutien des pairs, encadrement du promoteur) au doctorant. La perte des moments d’échanges informels est déplorée à l’unanimité. |

| Summary, etc. | Previous work on doctoral persistence has shown the importance of satisfying the three basic needs of human beings (autonomy, competence and affiliation). This contribution questions the effects of lock down and, more specifically, of radical changes in the associated work modalities on the personal and professional balance of eleven Belgian doctoral students. The analysis reports reorganizations of singular priorities resulting from an interweaving of internal (emotional resources, life course) and external (family composition, peer support, promoter supervision) factors to the doctoral student. The loss of moments of informal exchange is unanimously deplored. |
