| Summary, etc. | À partir de l’analyse textuelle de deux articles du Monde traitant ’Angela Merkel, comparés l’un à l’autre, notamment sous l’angle des marques temporelles, l’article apporte une réflexion sur le traitement du rapport au temps dans la presse quotidienne. Par un jeu de glissements du discours du féminin au discours politique ressaisi dans un discours temporel, le premier article du Monde dessine une nouvelle conception du politique propre à l’époque contemporaine, incarnée par Angela Merkel. Dans le second article où l’action d’AM est inscrite dans une opposition entre les registres discursifs du « sport » et de « l’attente », l’écriture journalistique investit le temps d’une fonction quasi fictionnelle, projetant vers l’anticipation de l’avenir. L’analyse de l’un et de l’autre, en relevant chaque fois les substitutions dans les domaines concernés (« politique », « femme », « temps », « sport »), montre un lien d’intertextualité entre les deux articles qui occupent d’ailleurs la même plage d’espace sur la page du quotidien national Le Monde. |

| Summary, etc. | angela Merkel’s first hundred days in two articles in Le Monde. two different readings of temporality This article uses textual analysis, with particular attention to temporal markers, to compare two articles about Angela Merkel taken from Le Monde. It explores the way the relationship with time is articulated in a daily newspaper. Using a series of shifts from female-centred to temporally-articulated political-centred discourse, the first Le Monde article sketches out a new approach to politics which Angela Merkel is said to embody. In the second piece, where Merkel’s action is framed by an opposition between the discursive registers of ‘sport’ and ‘expectation’, journalistic prose is used to create temporality in a way strongly redolent of fiction, projecting forwards to an anticipation of the future. By picking out individual cases of substitution in the areas under study (‘politics’, ‘women’, ‘time’, ‘sport’), the analysis demonstrates an intertextuality linking each of these texts – which occupy the same area on the page of the newspaper – to the other. |
