| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, nous observons comment les figures de Leibniz et Spinoza ont permis de construire différents concepts d’inconscient dans la psychologie expérimentale française à la fin du xixe siècle. On observera tout particulièrement comment ces deux figures sont mobilisées pour défendre la thèse d’un inconscient physiologique par Théodule Ribot et d’un inconscient psychologique par Pierre Janet, et comment l’interaction de ces théories contribue à remodeler leur usage de ces philosophes. Il s’agira de montrer les racines philosophiques de ces problèmes de psychopathologie et de promouvoir une approche d’histoire des sciences qui passe par l’étude de ces figures. |

| Summary, etc. | My aim in this article is to see how the figures of Leibniz and Spinoza were used to build up different concepts of unconscious in french experimental psychology in the late XIXth century. I will see especially how thoses figures are mobilised in order to promote the thesis of physiological unconscious by Theodule Ribot and of psychological unconscious by Pierre Janet, and how the discussions between thoses theories contribute to shape the use of those philosophers. The issue of this article is to evidence the philosophical roots of these psychopathological problems and to promote a perspective of history of science studying these figures. |
