| Summary, etc. | Les premiers modèles de cires anatomiques en grandeur naturelle, aux cheveux réels, aux sourcils, aux cils et au pubis composés de poils humains, aux yeux en verre soufflé, ont commencé à être créés au début du xviiie siècle. Sade n’échappe pas à l’attrait de ces cires moulées sur des cadavres, dont le réalisme trouble autant Diderot que Grimm. Cet article, qui rappelle succinctement l’histoire des Vénus anatomiques et le contexte de leur création, montre comment le regard que porte Sade à l’art de la céroplastie anatomo-médicale, et en premier chef à l’art de Zumbo, éclaire le travail de recomposition des corps féminins dans le corpus pornographique. L’ « artiste-philosophe », qui entre en concurrence avec la nature, revisite l’anatomie dans la forge de son imagination, pour inventer sur le vif un corps monstrueux, rendu à une beauté qu’interdisaient les organes du féminin. |

| Summary, etc. | The first life-size anatomical wax models, with real hair, eyebrows, eyelashes and pubis composed of human hair, with blown glass eyes, began to be created at the beginning of the 18th century. Sade has been affected by the attraction of these waxes molded on corpses, whose realism troubles Diderot as much as Grimm. This article, which succinctly recalls the history of the anatomical Venuses and the context of their creation, shows how Sade’s view of the art of anatomical ceroplasty, and primarily the art of Zumbo, sheds light on the work of recomposition of female bodies in the pornographic corpus. The “artist-philosopher”, who enters into competition with nature, revisits anatomy in the forge of his imagination, to invent on the spot a monstrous body, restored to a beauty that the organs of the feminine forbade. |
