| Summary, etc. | Si l’école primaire s’est construite autour des enseignants et leurs salles de classe, nous analyserons dans cet article un autre lieu spécifique de l’école primaire : « le bureau du directeur » et la nature complexe de ce dernier dans l’organisation de l’école. À partir d’une ethnographie de longue durée nous montrerons comment l’usage – voire parfois la négation de ce lieu comme espace propre à une fonction – pose la problématique du « pouvoir » à l’école en France. Les observations sont interprétées dans la perspective de la sociologie des organisations, dans un temps de changement de référentiel dans l’éducation nationale. Elles mettent en lumière la place très particulière des directions d’école, entre crainte d’un pouvoir excessif et assignation au « sale boulot » : maintien de l’ordre et tâches administratives. |

| Summary, etc. | If the primary school was built around teachers and their classrooms, we will analyze in this article another specific place of primary school: «the principal’s office» and the complex nature of the latter in the organization from school. From a long-term ethnography we will show how the use – and sometimes even the negation of this place as a space specific to a function – poses the problem of “power” at school in France. The observations are interpreted from the perspective of the sociology of organizations, in a time of change of reference in national education. They highlight the very special place of school principals, between fear of excessive power and assignment to the “dirty job”: maintaining order and administrative tasks. |

| Summary, etc. | Si la escuela primaria se construyó alrededor de los maestros y sus aulas, analizaremos en este artículo otro lugar específico de la escuela primaria: «la oficina del director» y la naturaleza compleja de esta última en la organización del Colegio. A partir de una etnografía a largo plazo, mostraremos cómo el uso, incluso a veces la negación de este lugar como un espacio propio de una función, plantea el problema del «poder» en la escuela en Francia. Las observaciones se interpretan desde la perspectiva de la sociología de las organizaciones, en un momento de cambio de referencia en la educación nacional. Destacan el lugar muy especial de los administradores escolares, entre el miedo al poder excesivo y la asignación al «trabajo sucio»: mantener el orden y las tareas administrativas. |
