| Summary, etc. | Dans cette introduction, nous présentons le champ des études sur l’interprétation comme/dans l’interaction, et l’état actuel des recherches qui s’y développent. La compréhension de la construction de ce champ de recherche implique de prendre en compte, non seulement la situation socio-politique mondiale, les phénomènes de mondialisation et de migration, mais aussi les évolutions de différents domaines de recherche au cours des dernières décennies. Les études sur l’interprétation comme/dans l’interaction se trouvent ainsi en relation avec les recherches sur les situations de contacts et les avancées que ce courant a permis de réaliser pour la compréhension de phénomènes tant linguistiques que sociaux, les travaux sur l’accès au droit des migrants, et les études de traduction et interprétation. |

| Summary, etc. | Interpreting, oral translation and forms of mediation in social situations. Introduction In this introduction, we present the research field on interpreting as/in interaction, and the most recent research in this domain. Understanding the development of this research field involves taking into account, not only the world’s sociopolitical situation and the phenomena of globalization and migration, but also the evolutions of different research domains during the last decades. On the one hand, research on interpreting as/in interaction is related to the important bulk of studies that have been carried out on intercultural communication, and to the outcomes it has produced concerning the understanding of linguistic as well as social phenomena; on the other hand, it is also linked to research on migrants’ rights, and to translation and interpreting studies. |
