| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article nous étudions des consultations médicales dans lesquelles un membre de la famille joue le rôle d’interprète. Nous nous focalisons sur les phases de l’interaction dans lesquelles les ressentis du patient sont exprimés, par exemple en réponse à une question du médecin ou au cours de l’auscultation. Dans ces passages de l’interaction, ce sont les interprètes qui rendent les ressentis du patient accessibles au médecin. L’article montre que ces moments se réalisent à travers une réorganisation des cadres de participation qui s’effectue à l’aide de différentes ressources multimodales, notamment visuelles (regard et orientation du corps) et verbales (ton des voix, intensité vocale et types de production). Ces ressources permettent aux participants de gérer les contraintes de la situation, qu’elles soient liées aux différences de langues, à l’organisation de l’espace dans le cabinet du médecin et dans la salle d’auscultation ou à leurs différents statuts épistémiques. |

| Summary, etc. | Delicate moments in interpreted medical consultations: the body, feelings and actions In this article we examine medical consultations in which a member of the patient’s family plays the role of interpreter. We will focus on the phases of the interaction in which the feelings of the patient are expressed, for example, after the doctor’s sollicitation or during the auscultation. In these moments, the interpreters intervene to make the patients’ feeling accessible to the physician. The paper shows that, for dealing with these situations, participants renegociate participation frameworks through different multimodal resources, such as visual (gaze and body orientation), and oral (tone of voice, vocal intensity and production types) activities. Moreover, these resources allow participants to manage the various constraints of the situation, such as language differences, the spatial organisation of the cabinet, and differences of epistemic status. |
