| Summary, etc. | Les couples où plusieurs langues sont pratiquées sont traditionnellement pensés comme mixtes pour investiguer l’évaluation sociale de leur altérité, ou comme plurilingue lorsque l’intérêt se porte sur leurs pratiques langagières. Pour explorer l’influence des modes de socialisation du couple sur l’appropriation langagière du conjoint alloglotte, je propose ici de mobiliser la notion de situation exolingue qui met l’accent sur une asymétrie entre les partenaires et souligne les rapports de pouvoir générés par l’altérité et la complexité du répertoire langagier plurilingue. À partir d’extraits d’entretiens recueillis en Suisse francophone auprès de deux couples, je discuterai ce que ces catégorisations produisent en termes de savoir et de conceptions sur la langue, l’appropriation langagière et le couple. |

| Summary, etc. | Mixedness, multilingualism, and exolingualism: From the study object to the category Couples where different languages are used have been described either as mixed, which underlines the socially stressed difference of the couple, or as multilingual, which emphasizes the complexity of the couple’s language repertoire. In order to explore the influence of the modes of socialization of the couple on the L2 acquisition of the alloglott partner, I suggest adopting the lens of exolingualism, which describes an asymmetry linked to power issues as shown by the category mixed and to the complexity of the linguistic repertoire depicted by the category multilingual. Relying on interviews collected with two couples living in the French part of Switzerland, my aim is to discuss what kind of knowledge and conceptions these categorizations produce about the couple, the language, and the L2 acquisition. |

| Summary, etc. | Las parejas que hablan varias lenguas se consideran tradicionalmente como mixtas, al examinar la evaluación social de su alteridad, o como plurilingües, si el interés radica en sus prácticas lingüísticas. Para investigar la influencia de los modos de socialización de la pareja sobre la apropiación de lenguaje del cónyuge alóglota, propongo aquí utilizar la noción de situación exolingüe, que pone el acento en una asimetría entre los miembros de la pareja, y subraya las relaciones de poder generadas por la alteridad y la complejidad del repertorio de lenguaje plurilingüe. A partir de fragmentos de entrevistas a dos parejas, realizadas en la Suiza francófona, analizaré las consecuencias de dichas categorizaciones en lo que respecta al saber y a las concepciones sobre la lengua, la apropiación de lenguaje y la pareja. |
