| Summary, etc. | Les rebondissements que la confrérie des Frères musulmans de Jordanie connaît depuis les printemps arabes se situent au croisement du contexte régional qui ne cesse de se complexifier, et de l’histoire propre au mouvement au sein de la monarchie : Un premier point pose les repères jalonnant l’histoire de la confrérie depuis sa fondation jusqu’en 1989, année du retour à la normale d’un processus électoral jusque-là chaotique ; un second point traite de la période allant de 1989 à 2011, au cours de laquelle le Front d’Action Islamique, bras politique de la confrérie Frères, s’impose comme étant le parti d’opposition le plus important sur la scène jordanienne ; une troisième section est dédiée aux conséquences des dynamiques déployées à partir de 2011 et qui aboutissent à l’éclatement que connaît le mouvement aujourd’hui. Cet éclatement prive le régime du seul interlocuteur politique qui ait, au sein de la société jordanienne, la masse critique requise pour contenir des situations de crises économiques, sociales et politiques qui s’annoncent explosives. |

| Summary, etc. | The Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan: from pillar of the monarchy to enemy of the regimeThe sudden developments that the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan has experienced since the Arab Spring are at a crossroads between a regional context which is increasingly complex and the Brotherhood’s own history within the monarchy : A first section traces the main events marking the history of the Brotherhood from its foundation up to 1989, the year of the return to normal of a previously chaotic electoral process ; secondly we deal with the period from 1989 to 2011, during which the Islamic Action Front, the political branch of the Brotherhood, imposed itself as the most important opposition party on the Jordanian scene ; a third section is devoted to the consequences of actions taken since 2011 and which have led to the splintering that the movement is experiencing today. This splintering deprives the regime of the only political representative which, within Jordanian society, had the necessary critical mass to contain situations of economic, social and political crisis which look set to be explosive. |
