| Summary, etc. | Nowadays, credibility is a much-sought quality, as it allows us to gain adherence and confidence. As a result, and in the face of the crisis of credibility that affects both the Church and other institutions, I present a few criteria for credibility – that are neither exclusive nor excluding – that makes possible a reading of adult catechesis according to Emilio Alberich. By considering credibility as a dynamic concept, I carry out a systematic study showing that the criteria for credibility should be understood as basic, average, or point of encounter. Based on this conception, I will focus on the trio of adult believers, adult communities and a renewed Church in order to meet the objective of this study, namely, the role of credibility in adult catechesis according to Emilio Alberich. |
