Summary, etc. | Résumé« Intelligence économique » (IE) est une expression de plus en plus utilisée dans le vocabulaire journalistique ou managérial. Pourtant, elle reste souvent employée pour désigner des pratiques plus ou moins exotiques, plus ou moins suspectes, ou bien encore, réservées à l’État, ou à quelques grands groupes ou secteurs stratégiques. Loin de cette vision qui nous semble réductrice, nous présentons ici une approche managériale du concept d’IE, une approche que toute entreprise, quelle que soit sa taille ou son secteur d’activité, peut s’approprier. Nous illustrerons cette approche par le cas d’une petite entreprise du secteur du BTP. |

Summary, etc. | The French translation of competitive intelligence, “Intelligence Economique” is more and more frequently used by journalists or business experts. Still, this concept is often understood as a synonymous for espionage, or as something that only states, or big firms, or firms from strategic sectors can do. Far from this point of view, we present a business-oriented definition of CI. This definition can be applied to any kind of firm, even small, or to any sector. A case study illustrates our approach. |
