| Summary, etc. | Le Chili est connu pour sa catéchèse familiale. Cet article présente cette catéchèse dans l’histoire, mais aussi dans sa dynamique contextuelle et théologique. Dans un premier temps, les auteurs rappellent quelques idées clés du Concile Vatican II qui ont eu un impact direct sur le renouvellement de la catéchèse en Amérique latine ; puis, dans un second moment, ils parcourent brièvement les Conférences des évêques latino-américains dans la perspective de leur contribution à la réflexion catéchétique. Ensuite, l’article déploie les principaux jalons de la catéchèse familiale, en partant du modèle des « mamans catéchistes » jusqu’à sa forme actuelle. Enfin, certaines limites de cette catéchèse sont mises en exergue ainsi que ses contributions à l’Église et à la vie communautaire. |

| Summary, etc. | Chile is known for its family catechesis. This article presents that form of catechesis not only through its history but also in its contextual and theological dynamics. In the first part, the authors call to mind some ideas of the Second Vatican Council that had a direct impact on the renewal of catechesis in Latin America; in the second part, they give a brief overview of the Latin American bishops’ conferences from the perspective of their contribution to catechetical reflection. The third part is devoted to the main landmarks of family catechesis, starting from the model of “catechist mothers” down to its current form. Lastly, a few of the limitations of this type of catechesis are discussed, as well as its contributions to the Church and to community life. |
