| Summary, etc. | Dans cet article, nous analysons des interactions interprétées dans un tribunal de première instance au Danemark. Nous employons une approche sociolinguistique interactionnelle et nous focalisons sur une séquence récurrente, où certaines informations ne sont pas explicitement adressées par le procureur, probablement parce qu’elles peuvent être inférées par les représentants institutionnels, mais sont inconnues du prévenu. Les interprètes font des modifications sémantiques dans leurs traductions des propos du procureur, facilitant ainsi la compréhension du prévenu. Nous estimons que les interprètes s’appuient sur des compétences de communication pragmatiques et leurs suppositions sur les connaissances du destinataire, ajoutant des informations sur le système judiciaire et ses procédures. Nous discutons comment le cadre institutionnel restreint les options interactionnelles des participants, limitant notamment la possibilité pour l’interprète de s’assurer de la compréhension du prévenu. |

| Summary, etc. | In this article we analyze interactions involving interpreters in a preliminary hearing tribunal in Denmark. We use an interactional sociolinguistic approach to focus on a recurrent sequence of events in which certain information is not explicitly mentioned by the prosecuting authorities, probably because it can be inferred by institutional actors, although not by the accused. Interpreters make semantic modifications to the wording of the prosecutor in their translations in order to help the accused understand. We believe that the interpreters make use of pragmatic communication competencies and of their own suppositions regarding the knowledge of those addressed in such circumstances, adding information about the judicial system and its procedures. We discuss the way in which the institutional framework restricts the range of interactions available to participants, in particular the opportunity for the interpreter to check that the accused has understood. |

| Summary, etc. | En este artículo analizamos interacciones con mediación de intérprete en un tribunal de primera instancia en Dinamarca. Empleamos un enfoque sociolingüístico interaccional y nos centramos en una secuencia recurrente en la que ciertas informaciones no son explícitamente expresadas por el fiscal, probablemente porque pueden ser inferidas por los representantes institucionales, pero que son desconocidas para el acusado. Los intérpretes llevan a cabo modificaciones semánticas en su traducción de las declaraciones del fiscal, facilitando así la comprensión del acusado. Consideramos que los intérpretes se basan en competencias de comunicación pragmáticas y en sus suposiciones sobre los conocimientos del destinatario, añadiendo informaciones sobre el sistema judicial y sus procedimientos. Traemos a discusión cómo el marco institucional restringe las opciones interaccionales de los participantes, limitando concretamente la posibilidad de la que dispone el intérprete para asegurarse de la comprensión por parte del acusado. |
