| Summary, etc. | Les liens entre le monde du cyclisme et l’Église sont réels, malgré la mauvaise réputation dont souffre ce sport à cause des affaires de dopage. Mettre en lumière l’existence d’une véritable spiritualité cycliste, une spiritualité du vélo, comme le disait déjà Madeleine Delbrêl, peut s’appuyer sur les valeurs propres à ce sport. Les éducateurs chrétiens ont souvent pris appui sur la pratique du vélo. Le cyclisme permet de faire l’expérience de la persévérance dans l’effort, en même temps qu’il permet de découvrir qu’on est porté dans la vie. Il est à la fois sport individuel et sport d’équipe. Il fait naître un certain rapport entre l’homme, la machine et la nature, bien différent des véhicules motorisés. Le vélo maintient dans un équilibre en mouvement, il rend le cycliste attentif au monde qui l’entoure, en étant conscient de sa fragilité. |
