Mais nous savons avec certitude ce que nous voudrions laisser derrière nous : une catéchèse quasi exclusivement pour les enfants et déléguée aux catéchistes. Le but de cet article n’est pas de traiter toutes les questions débattues ni de fournir un cadre théorique complet à propos du ministère de catéchiste. Il tente une approche pratique. Après avoir tracé un portrait des catéchistes italiens, il offre quelques critères essentiels pour interpréter ce qui advient dans la pratique et quelques pistes pour envisager autrement le ministère de catéchiste. |

| Summary, etc. | What does the future hold for us ? What kind of catechesis will we need ? What type of catechists ? Although we cannot clearly perceive the future, we do certainly know what kind of heritage we would like to leave behind us : a catechesis that is almost exclusively for children and which is delegated to catechists. The purpose of this article is not to go over all the questions that are the subject of debate nor to draw a complete theoretical framework for the ministry of catechist. Rather, it tries to offer a practical approach. It does this by first sketching a portrait of Italian catechists, and then provides several essential criteria for interpreting what future practice may look like, as well as outlining some ways in which we might envisage the ministry of catechist differently. |
