| Summary, etc. | In recent years, there has been a growing influence of science-fiction in public and private organizations, with the aim of enhancing creativity and imagination in employees’ creativity and imagination when generating new products and services. This raises the question of whether the innovation processes involving science fiction stories actually result in commercialized innovations in the real world. To answer this question, international databases and science fiction books were analyzed to establish relationships between fiction and innovation and to identify products and services that first existed in fiction. The results show a prophetic role for fiction in the creation of inventions that later became products and services used by human beings in everyday life. JEL Code : O310 |

| Summary, etc. | On peut constater récemment une influence croissante de la science-fiction dans les organisations publiques et privées dans le but d’améliorer la créativité et l’imagination des employés lors de la génération de nouveaux produits et services. Face à cela, on peut se demander si les processus d’innovation où s’insèrent des histoires de science-fiction engendrent vraiment des innovations commercialisées dans le monde réel. Pour répondre à cette question, des bases de données internationales et des livres de science-fiction ont été analysés afin d’établir les relations entre fiction et innovation et d’identifier des produits et services qui ont d’abord existé dans la fiction. Les résultats obtenus montrent un rôle prophétique de la fiction dans la création d’inventions qui sont devenues plus tard des produits et des services utilisés par les êtres humains dans la vie quotidienne. |
