| Summary, etc. | RésuméLes réflexions sur l’innovation dans les services ont connu des avancées remarquables depuis les années 90. Dans cet article, nous analysons l’innovation dans le commerce en adoptant prioritairement une approche servicielle fondée sur la décomposition fonctionnelle du produit commercial. Nous montrons que les travaux sur l’innovation dans les services peuvent enrichir le débat et les modèles d’analyse de l’innovation et des changements institutionnels dans le commerce. |

| Summary, etc. | Researches on innovation in services have faced outstanding advances since the 90’s. In this paper, we analyse innovation in retailing focusing prioritarily on it’s service dimension. Our service approach to retailing is founded on a functional breakdown of the retail product. Using this framework, we show that researches on innovation in services can provide new insights and significantly enrich the debate and the analytical models dealing with innovation and institutional changes in retailing. |
