| Summary, etc. | Cet article présente la nouvelle dynamique développée par la Communauté Urbaine de Douala, en vue de reconstruire l’environnement des activités économiques dans cette cité, premier centre économique du Cameroun et de la sous-région CEMAC. Pour comprendre les orientations actuellement prises, il faut recourir à la théorie du "développement local". Celle-ci apporte un éclairage pertinent sur les actions en cours et qui concernent la rénovation et la construction des infrastructures publiques, ainsi que la promotion des structures dédiées à l’animation du milieu économique local. |

| Summary, etc. | This article aims to present the new dynamics led by the Douala Urban Community in order to provide a better environment for entrepreneurship in this city, which is the first economic centre of Cameroon and the CEMAC sub-region. This new municipal board’s attitude is foundamentally grounded on the theoretical model of "local and territorial development". The latter explains why and how emerging new actors (such as local institutions, local state or collective private/public actors,... ) are able to influence deeply the process of economic and social transformations. |
