L’éducation est présentée comme une institution homogène, la seule voie possible de sortir les enfants du marché du travail. Une distinction est introduite entre l’éducation formelle et informelle. Chaque ménage, en fonction de sa situation financière, choisit l’une ou l’autre forme d’éducation. Le travail des enfants en Inde dans l’industrie de la briqueterie montre que le choix des parents pour l’apprentissage traditionnel est considéré comme un apprentissage à la vie. |

Child labour in the brick kiln industry shows that the parents’ choice for the traditional training is perceived as an apprenticeship of life. |
