Summary, etc. | La transformation des organisations non gouvernementales (ONG) en promoteurs du développement est un phénomène récent au Brésil. Dans quelle mesure les ONG contribuent-elles au renouvellement des conceptions et des pratiques du développement en milieu rural ? Deux exemples d’ONG intervenant dans l’État de Santa Catarina, au Sud du Brésil, sont analysés. Leurs discours soulignent la nécessité de promouvoir un modèle de développement alternatif, basé sur des notions de solidarité et de durabilité, mais leur logique reste affectée par une conception "corporatiste" du développement. |

Summary, etc. | Territorial and sustainable development in rural areas, governance and non governmental organizations’ intervention in Santa Catarina’s State, Brazil Local non governmental organizations (NGOs) are becoming development promoters in rural areas. It is a recent phenomenon in Brazil. Are NGOs influents actors in the renewal of the conceptions and practices in the development field ? Two cases of NGOs that acts in Santa Catarina’s State, in the South of Brazil, are analyzed. If in their official speech they aim to promote an alternative development, focused in sustainability and solidarity, the NGOs’ interventions are marked by a corporative conception of development. |
