Quelques minorités demeurent encore aujourd’hui privées d’État (Palestiniens, Kurdes), de droits (chrétiens d’Orient), de nationalité (apatrides du Bangladesh et du Myanmar). D’autres ont réussi à se doter d’États (Baltes) mais abritent de fortes minorités au sein de leurs nouveaux États au risque que les équilibres restent instables (cas de la Belgique, du Liban). |

| Summary, etc. | Minorities have been condemned to silence, oppression or death in the utopia of state-building of Nation States. Some of them are still fighting for a state (Palestinians, Kurds) while others have rights denied (Christians in Middle East), or nationality (stateless populations of Myanmar and Bangladesh). Others have succeeded in establishing new States (Baltic states), but they have important minorities in their process of national building, threatening their equilibrium in some cases (Belgium, Lebanon). |
